Is weekly rental cheaper than daily?
For anything longer than a few days, usually yes. Daily rental is priced by the day, so a month adds up day by day. Ours is one weekly rate with unlimited kilometres, which is why rideshare drivers, people between cars and new arrivals in Melbourne tend to rent this way. For a weekend away, a daily company is the better fit, because our minimum is one month.
What the weekly rent covers
In the weekly rent
- Insurance on the vehicle. The cover, excess and exclusions are in the insurance documents you get with your booking.
- Unlimited kilometres.
- Roadside assistance.
- Scheduled servicing, plus repairs from normal wear and tear or a pre-existing fault.
- If it breaks down through no fault of yours, a replacement where one is available, or your rent is adjusted.
- No lock-in after the first month: hand it back on 2 weeks' notice.
You pay separately
- Fuel. Return it at the level you collected it.
- Tolls, parking and fines during your hire.
- Damage up to the insurance excess.
- A refundable security bond, back within 30 days of return with any deduction itemised.
Full terms: rental agreement · cancellation policy.
